About the Role
Oversee Emergency Department operations and nursing staff during shifts to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments
- Supervise, coach, and support staff development
- Assist with performance management and HR activities
- Monitor supplies, equipment, and unit readiness
- Coordinate patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Address patient care concerns and escalate issues as needed
- Provide patient and family rounds to enhance the care experience
- Provide direct patient care when necessary to maintain staffing levels
Requirements
- Valid state RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA)
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital ED setting
- Previous supervisory experience
Pay
Up to $1,491–$2,067 gross weekly ($41.44–$57.43 hourly) with a $3/hour differential.
