Travel ED Charge Nurse

About the Role

Oversee Emergency Department operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and compliance. Manage staffing, scheduling, patient assignments, and unit readiness. Supervise, coach, and support staff development, including performance management and HR activities. Coordinate patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges, and address care concerns. Conduct rounds with patients and families to promote positive experiences. Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain staffing levels.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Current RN license.
  • Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital or ED setting.
  • Previous supervisory experience.

Pay

Up to $1,491–$2,067 gross weekly ($41.44–$57.43/hour), with an additional $3/hour differential.
