About the Role

Oversee Emergency Department operations and nursing staff during shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments
  • Coordinate patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Supervise, coach, and support staff development
  • Assist with performance management and HR activities
  • Monitor supplies and equipment
  • Address patient care concerns and support a positive patient and family experience
  • Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain staffing levels

Requirements

  • Valid RN license
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Minimum one year of recent ED nursing experience in an acute care hospital
  • Previous supervisory experience
