About the Role
Oversee Emergency Department operations and nursing staff during shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments
- Coordinate patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Supervise, coach, and support staff development
- Assist with performance management and HR activities
- Monitor supplies and equipment
- Address patient care concerns and support a positive patient and family experience
- Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain staffing levels
Requirements
- Valid RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum one year of recent ED nursing experience in an acute care hospital
- Previous supervisory experience
