About the Role

Oversees Emergency Department operations and nursing staff during shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manages staffing, scheduling, patient assignments, and unit readiness.
  • Supervises and supports staff development, addresses patient care concerns, and escalates issues as needed.
  • Coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Conducts patient and family rounds to promote positive experiences.
  • Provides direct patient care when necessary to maintain safe staffing levels.

Requirements

  • Valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital, ED setting.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
