Travel Critical Care Registered Nurse

About the role

Experienced travel nurse responsible for providing critical care in various units, including ICU, ER, MedSurg, Tele, Peds, and NICU. You will float across units and facilities as needed to ensure coverage and patient safety, manage patient ratios from 1:1 in ICU to 1:5 in MedSurg, and may serve as a 1:1 sitter or perform specialized procedures such as titrating medication drips.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in ICU, ER, MedSurg, Tele, Peds, and NICU units.
• Float across units and facilities as needed to maintain patient safety and coverage.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols using the Epic system.
• Manage patient ratios ranging from 1:1 in ICU to 1:5 in MedSurg.
• Possibly serve as a 1:1 sitter or perform specialized procedures, including titrating medication drips and interpreting telemetry.

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of recent critical care and travel nursing experience.
• Valid Idaho or compact nursing license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale.
• Ability to float within specialty units and interpret telemetry.
• Experience in travel nursing required.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Willingness to work shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with weekend availability.
• Prepared to complete pre-employment modules and provide references, including a charge/lead reference.
• Possibility of floating across multiple locations and units, with assignments communicated via app.

Skills

Schedule

Shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with weekend availability.
