Transportation Supervisor (Full-Time)

About the Role

This Operations position supervises delivery activities, manages delivery staff, ensures compliance with safety and government regulations, and oversees departmental efficiency and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily delivery operations, ensuring adherence to procedures, safety, and customer service standards.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., DOT, OSHA) and accurate electronic logs.
• Manage labor hours, supplies, and scheduling, including extra shifts.
• Oversee asset utilization, coordinate repairs, and review productivity reports.
• Implement efficiency improvements, cost reductions, and enforce company policies.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to resolve delivery issues.
• Engage with customers, address concerns, and monitor associate morale.
• Coordinate safety training, conduct safety inspections, and assist in disciplinary actions.
• Handle staff management tasks such as hiring, performance reviews, and terminations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related experience.
• Valid Class A CDL and HazMat certification preferred; defensive driving training required.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and proficiency in computer software.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, work in diverse environments, and handle physical demands.
