Transportation Supervisor - Full-Time

Job Summary This role oversees delivery operations, including supervising delivery staff, ensuring safety, compliance with regulations, and efficient customer service. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily work, safety, and adherence to procedures for delivery associates.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining accurate electronic logs.Manage labor hours, supplies within budget, and prepare work schedules.Oversee asset utilization, coordinate repairs, and review productivity reports.Implement efficiency improvements and cost-saving measures.Enforce company policies, including safety, food safety, and record-keeping standards.Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to resolve delivery issues and visit customer locations.Maintain associate engagement through meetings, communication, and morale monitoring.Coordinate with safety departments for training, safety inspections, and incident investigations.Handle staff recruitment, development, discipline, and performance evaluations.Perform related duties as needed, including covering associate tasks. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.1-3 years related experience.Valid Class A Commercial Driver License preferred; HazMat certification and defensive driving training required or preferred.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of safety regulations, federal motor carrier laws, and operational procedures.Proficient in computer software, including spreadsheets and word processing.Ability to interpret instructions, manage stress, and make independent decisions. Physical & Working Conditions Requires standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 100 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 350 pounds.Visual acuity for various tasks and occasional work in diverse environmental conditions.Work may include exposure to extreme weather, noise, mechanical parts, fumes, and confined spaces.Non-traditional hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; possible travel for training or business needs.
