About the role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Investigative Training Coordinator who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the training program for personnel performing background investigations under the Background Investigative Services Contract. The ITC works closely with the Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, and Quality Control Officer to ensure training aligns with operational requirements, supports continuous improvement, and maintains investigative compliance and quality.
Responsibilities
- Establish/maintain CFI/CIT personnel training in support of the Component’s BI program
- Demonstrate knowledge of background investigations, policies and procedures
- Establish/maintain a program to train personnel who are involved in conducting investigations, scoping, assigning, controlling, reviewing, approving, and performing quality control and assurance functions
- Provide investigators with guidance on investigative and ROI issues and maintaining quality standards
- Provide advice and guidance to investigative and staff personnel on FIS, INVS, and Component requirements
- Plan, develop, and implement training programs and supplemental guidance for classroom or web-based instruction
Requirements
- Experience (Minimum): Six (6) or more years of experience in the personnel security investigations or background investigations field, demonstrating general knowledge of background investigation policies and procedures
- Experience with training when it comes to background investigations
- Education (Minimum): Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Qualifications
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation
