Training and Operations Scheduler

About the role

The Training and Operations Scheduler serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Course of Action (COA), Concept of Operations (CONOP), and combat development, with responsibility for training and operations on a global scale. This role requires in-depth knowledge of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and involves planning, development, and oversight of training and exercise programs to refine and advance operational TTPs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, and overseeing training and exercise programs to refine TTPs for operational employment.
• Conduct Pre-Deployment Site Survey duties.
• Schedule civilian and military ranges, aircraft, and support personnel to facilitate training and operations.
• Work with demolitions, including breaching, and handle small and large arms up to and including 40mm, .50 caliber, and Anti-Tank munitions.
• Manage pyrotechnics, including ground burst simulators and simunitions.
• Observe and support training operations such as:
  • Close Quarters Combat
  • Urban and rural assaults
  • Small unit tactics
  • Low-visibility operations and tradecraft
  • Personal Security Detail operations
  • Combat life saver training, including Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and live-tissue models
• Utilize night vision devices and operate a variety of weapons systems, both small and large.
• Drive standard and nonstandard military and civilian vehicles.
• Fly on rotary and fixed-wing aircraft.
• Operate standard and nonstandard indirect fire ground weapons systems.
• Operate military and civilian radio systems.
• Serve as Range Safety Officer/Officer in Charge in accordance with base and installation range policies and procedures.
• Support exercise operations and perform duties as a Target Safety Official, including safety evaluation walk-throughs for integrated live-fire scenarios.
• Maintain a working knowledge of live-fire and simulation-fire scenarios, as well as simulation-fire safety standards.
• Collaborate with interagency working groups, National agencies, DOD agencies, U.S. Intelligence agencies, and other military commands.
• Foster teamwork to ensure consistent interpretation of plans, policies, and exercises among operations personnel, associated agencies, and directorates.
• Serve as the SME to higher headquarters, leveraging expertise in a wide range of technologies and techniques applicable to assigned tasks.
