Trainer I
Responsibilities
- Assist in working with department managers and supervisors to determine the training needs of each department.
- Schedule training, certifications and re-certifications to meet needs.
- Deliver training for new hire orientation, safety and component identification and other courses as appropriate.
- Deliver training in technical and non-technical subjects, coordinating with outside suppliers when appropriate.
- Aid in the periodic review of BEI policies and procedures to ensure training needs are satisfied.
- Maintain training logs, records and other training documents and make them available to employees, supervisors, managers and auditors as needed.
- Maintain training materials as needed.
- Respond to new training requirements from ISO, OSHA and BEI in collaboration with manufacturing and quality management.
- Meet and communicate with managers, employees, vendors and other BEI trainers.
- May serve as member or monitor activities of various company committees.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with all internal and external team members and customers.
Qualifications
- Entry level; 2 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management.
- 0-2+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required.
- Effective organization and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated high attention to detail.
- Ability to work with and train diverse groups.
- Discretion, confidentiality, independent judgement and professionalism.
- Understanding and ability to use continuous improvement tools.
- Strong customer service and client focus.
- Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products and WebEx conferencing software.
- Knowledgeable in ISO certifications and other registrations as required.
- Proficient with personal computers, photo copiers, overhead transparency and computer driven projectors, white/chalk boards, manufacturing tools, product and component samples and other standard office equipment and devices to support the training function.
- General understanding of the total business operation to include material procurement, order entry, forecasting, manufacturing, invoicing, customer returns, inventory levels and on-time delivery.
- Discretion, confidentiality and professionalism when representing the company.
- Available for travel up to 10% of the time, including day, overnight and international travel as required.

Pay
$21.79 to $27.24 USD per hour.
