About the role
We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technician I to join our team. As a Technician I, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our customers' ice machines operate efficiently and are always clean.
Responsibilities
- Install, clean, and maintain ice machines according to Easy Ice's standard operating procedures
- Perform routine inspections and execute scheduled maintenance tasks
- Assist in troubleshooting issues and communicating with customers about service needs
- Manage truck stock and ensure timely service for customers
- Document all actions taken during service visits and maintain clear records of maintenance activities
- Facilitate payment processing and assist with the removal of equipment when necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Vocational/Technical Training preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service-oriented technical role or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience with ice machines or HVAC maintenance is a plus
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and electrical components related to ice machines
- Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques and standard repair practices
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing issues
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
