Buckeye Partners is seeking a Technician I to join our team. We are a premier infrastructure and logistics provider for the world's energy needs, committed to safe and responsible service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and pipeline and terminal facilities.
- Perform overall troubleshooting and maintenance support for pipeline and terminal facilities in the assigned area.
- Plan, estimate, schedule, and control costs for maintenance projects.
- Record regulatory and company policy preventative maintenance inspections and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding new and current technology and equipment.
- Procure and manage the efforts of outside contractors as required.
- Implement company policies, standards, drawings, diagrams, and construction specifications for the installation of new facilities and the repair or upgrade of existing facilities.
- Train Operations personnel and others in the use of new or modified equipment or software.
- Maintain equipment records and furnish documentation per company policy of work performed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A two-year associate’s degree in a technical field (electrical, electronic, or mechanical), or the equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
- Experience in pipeline, terminal, or plant operations and maintenance is required.
- Experience installing or troubleshooting PLCs (B&R, Siemens, Allen Bradley) and truck/rail load rack presets (Accuload, Multiload) is preferred.
- Experience in measurement of liquids or gas is preferred.
- Must reside within 45 minutes normal driving time of the work location.
Position Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic knowledge of SCADA applications and MS Office applications is a plus.
- Good communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical skills and technical aptitude.
