Responsibilities

  • Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers by performing limited repairs with moderate supervision on basic and advanced maintenance such as replacement of light bulbs, fuses, lenses, wiper blades, belts, hoses, batteries, check fluid levels, change fluids and filters and lubricate components.
  • Perform mechanical repairs under moderate supervision including the repair of brakes and brake inspections, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, and other repairs.
  • Maintain records of all maintenance work completed on vehicles including parts and supplies used. Ensure that work orders are completed properly and accurately.
  • Diagnose and perform accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment repair under moderate supervision.
  • Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.
  • Evaluate completed work prior to release and seek approval where required.
  • Aid with road calls and emergency services as necessary.
  • Adhere to Transdev standards, policies and procedures.
  • Moves vehicles safely between job and work area.
  • Repairs and maintains all shop equipment.
  • Other responsibilities as requested or required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred).
  • ASE Certification preferred.
  • Must be willing to participate in ASE testing program.
  • 2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) or equivalent education and experience.
  • Adhere to standards set by state DOT for motor vehicle inspections and safety standards.
  • Class B CDL driver’s license – preferably with passenger endorsement.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Comfortable using hand tools.
  • Strong customer service skills and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Maintain an organized shop and clean work environment.

Qualifications

  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

Skills

  • Knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits

  • Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
  • Sick days: 5 days

Pay

$23.00-25.00/hour

Schedule

Hours: 5 AM to 1:30 PM
