Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Installs equipment including but not limited to IP based cameras, antennas, detectors, network equipment, controller cabinets.
  • Install and troubleshoot electrical conductors, data conductors, fiber optic cables.
  • Uses in-house software to troubleshoot system issues.
  • Terminates conductors to equipment including CAT6 cables.
  • Connects electrical conductors to power services to energize equipment.
  • Tests multiple devices to ensure they work correctly.
  • Enters detailed information on electronic work orders.

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associates degree is desirable.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Driving is a key requirement for this position. A CDL is not required but desirable.

The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
