About Your Role
As a Maintenance Technician I at Dollar Tree’s Distribution Center, you’ll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors, building systems, machinery, and electrical/controls equipment. You’ll help ensure that all equipment operates at peak efficiency while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Equipment Support:
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on equipment, including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, and electrical/electronic systems
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, logic controls, PLCs, motor drives (Servo and VFD), and external I/O devices
- Diagnose electrical problems using technical drawings (blueprints, schematics) and diagnostic tools (multi-meter, laptop)
- Assist other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment
- Initiate and implement new procedures or designs to maintain equipment efficiency
- Maintain organized work area and promote a safe working environment within the Maintenance department
- Documentation & Communication:
- Complete work orders, records, logs, and other documentation according to established procedures
- Communicate technical issues effectively to associates, leadership, and suppliers to minimize equipment downtime
- Ensure workmanship meets the highest quality standards
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate material handling equipment, battery-powered equipment, and other powered machinery safely
- Maintain a customer service-oriented approach while addressing technical issues
Requirements
- Coursework or certification in electronic technology and 2 years industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology OR 3 years industrial maintenance experience in electronic technology (including troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment)
- PLC/PC programming knowledge and troubleshooting experience
- Hands-on industrial electrical experience, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24 VDC systems
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with PCs and industrial control devices/networking
- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to business leadership
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in electronic technology with 2 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience
- Experience maintaining automated equipment in a distribution center environment

Pay
Pay Range: $27.50–$32.50 per hour, plus a $2.00/hour shift differential.
