About the role
The Service Oklahoma (SOK) mission is to ease the stress in navigating government services by providing a best-in-class customer experience. This position has an annual rate of $43,680.00.
Responsibilities
- Responds to questions and inquiries via telephone, email, or in-person from SOK customers and/or Licensed Operators (LO’s).
- Provides technical assistance to customers by processing; duplicate titles, add lien titles, title transactions, transfer-on-death requests, release liens, etc.
- Receives and verifies court order requests from customers and LO’s, research through NCIC and write up instructions.
- Processes all title corrections that require payment.
- Reviews documents and writes up title instructions for transactions that need to be completed with inventory for the processing section.
- Completes research of laws and rules as needed to respond to specific inquiries.
- Provides routine interpretation of state and federal MV laws or refers more complex questions to the appropriate division personnel.
- Collaborates with other divisions, sections, or agencies as needed to clarify policies and procedures, determine status of individual accounts, issue clearances, and resolve problems.
- Answers general questions through Teams for the SOK phone bank and MV team.
- Provides backup coverage for the store at SOK HQ when necessary, including VIN inspections.
- Level II/III – Assists in projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Level I – Knowledge of office practices and procedures; of business math and accounting terminology and procedures, including maintenance of records.
- Level I – Ability is required to read, comprehend, and apply various rules and regulations; to inspect and verify records; to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Level II – Knowledge of office practices and procedures; of business math and accounting terminology and procedures, including maintenance of records; and of tax laws relating to motor vehicles, boats, and motors.
- Level II – Ability is required to read, comprehend and apply various rules and regulations; to inspect and verify records; to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Level III/Lead – Knowledge of office practices and procedures; of business math and accounting terminology and procedures, including maintenance of records; and of tax laws relating to motor vehicles, boats and motors.
- Level III/Lead – Ability is required to read, comprehend and apply various rules and regulations; to inspect and verify records; to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; and to dispose problem applications.
Qualifications
- Level I – An Associate’s Degree in any field OR two (2) years of experience in a related field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level II – An Associate’s Degree in any field, plus one (1) year of experience in a related field OR three (3) years of experience in a closely related field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level III – An Associate’s Degree in any field, plus two (2) years of experience in a related field OR four (4) years of experience in a closely related field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
