TILE DISTRIBUTION - MATERIAL HANDLER II

About the role

Dal-Tile is currently seeking an intermediate level Material Handler to join our TEAM! As a material handler we need someone that is experienced in stocking, checking, wrapping, and loading and unloading materials.

Schedule

Hours for this position are Monday‑Friday, 6 am‑2:30 pm, with possible overtime and Saturday work.

Responsibilities

• Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area.
• Pulls/assembles customer orders.
• Checks outbound orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Performs inventory stock checks.
• Restocks and labels vendor product.
• Maintains displays (tools, caulk, etc.).
• Moves, stores, and replenishes material.
• Conducts daily cycle counts.
• Receives and unloads inbound material.
• Processes inbound shipments.
• Stocks material.
• Processes customer returns and notifies management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
• Operates forklift equipment.
• Maintains a clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance.
• Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to management.
• Performs other related duties as required.
• While performing duties, associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms; required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance; may lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Average number of picks per hour is 25; average weight is between 40‑70 lbs with heavier picks (50‑70 lbs) being 65% of the work shift and lighter weight items (20‑40 lbs) being 35% of the work shift.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures; noise level usually loud.
