About The Venue
The Greensboro Complex is a versatile multi-building facility serving the Greensboro community and surrounding areas. It hosts a wide array of events, including athletic competitions, cultural arts showcases, concerts, theater performances, educational activities, fairs, exhibits, conventions, convocations, trade shows, and consumer shows. The complex plays a crucial role as a hub of community activities and significantly contributes to the regional economy.
The complex consists of nine venues, including the 22,000-seat First Horizon Coliseum, which has hosted prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships and legendary concerts by artists like Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, Elvis Presley, Drake, Bad Bunny, and Taylor Swift. Other venues include:
- 167,000-square-foot Special Events Center (three exhibition halls, a 4,500-seat mini-arena, and eight meeting rooms)
- White Oak Amphitheatre
- Piedmont Hall
- Novant Health Fieldhouse
- Greensboro Aquatic Center
- The Terrace
- ACC Hall of Champions
- 3,000-seat Odeon Theatre
As one of the most actively booked facilities in the country, the Greensboro Complex hosts over 1,100 events annually. Its flexibility and reputation have earned worldwide acclaim among promoters, producers, event planners, and patrons.
Responsibilities
- Master the operation of the ticketing system.
- Stay informed about each event's details, including ticket prices, discounts, restrictions, and seating arrangements (reserved or general admission).
- Become well-versed in the seating charts and configurations of assigned locations.
- Efficiently and accurately handle transactions for all events using the ticketing system.
- Accurately process payments, ensuring the correct amount is received and the appropriate number of tickets and change are issued.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing patrons' needs positively and effectively.
- Direct guests to the nearest ticket taker as needed.
- Reconcile all funds received from ticket sales at the end of each shift.
- Maintain precise and clear records of all transactions.
- Uphold confidentiality standards.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school graduate/GED preferred.
- Experience working with the public and cash handling is preferred.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a productive team member.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay
$15.00 per hour.
