About the Venue

The Greensboro Coliseum Complex is a versatile multi-building facility serving the community of Greensboro and its surrounding areas. It hosts a wide array of events, including athletic competitions, cultural arts showcases, concerts, theater performances, educational activities, fairs, exhibits, and public and private gatherings. The Complex, with its largest venue being the 22,000-seat First Horizon Coliseum, has a rich history of hosting prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships and major musical acts.

Responsibilities

• Check and validate tickets at the entrance, ensuring each ticket is legitimate and corresponds to the event.
• Greet guests warmly, answer questions, and provide information about the event and venue as needed.
• Monitor and control the entry points to ensure that only authorized guests enter the event.
• Absorb any ticket-related issues or discrepancies promptly and courteously, seeking assistance from supervisors when necessary.
• Stay informed about the event layout, seating arrangements, and facilities to assist guests effectively.
• Report any suspicious activity or security concerns to the appropriate personnel immediately.
• Help guests with special needs or requirements, ensuring they have a positive experience.
• Work closely with other event staff to ensure seamless operations and a cohesive guest experience.
• Ensure guests follow venue rules and guidelines to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Previous experience in a customer service-based industry is preferred.
• Previous experience within sports, entertainment, or a related field is preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays as required.

Pay

This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00.

Schedule
