The Therapy Team Leader supports the Director of Therapy Operations in managing daily departmental activities. This role requires strong supervisory, communication, and licensed discipline evaluation skills. The position involves delegating tasks, supervising therapist assistants and technicians, managing staffing, scheduling, training, and ensuring effective interdepartmental communication to meet patient, staff, and hospital needs. Typically, the role includes providing patient care within a licensed discipline for most work hours.
The leader fosters a positive environment aligned with the hospital's mission, holds staff accountable, motivates improvement, and oversees department operations, including measurement and continuous quality improvement. Additionally, they focus on staff development through mentoring and performance enhancement, ensuring clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
