About the role
The Terminal Manager Railcar Repair oversees the maintenance and repair of railcars at a major transportation terminal. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of railcar mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient railcar maintenance and repair schedules are met.
- Manage a team of technicians and engineers to perform repairs and inspections on railcars.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and implement training programs for new employees and ongoing professional development for existing staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues related to railcar maintenance and transportation logistics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in railcar maintenance and repair.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
- Knowledge of railcar mechanics and industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
- Experience with railcar inspection and repair tools.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with railcar maintenance software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay
$80,000 - $90,000 annually.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
