Terminal Manager Railcar Repair

About the role

The Terminal Manager Railcar Repair oversees the maintenance and repair of railcars at a major transportation terminal. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of railcar mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient railcar maintenance and repair schedules are met.
• Manage a team of technicians and engineers to perform repairs and inspections on railcars.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
• Develop and implement training programs for new employees and ongoing professional development for existing staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues related to railcar maintenance and transportation logistics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in railcar maintenance and repair.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
• Knowledge of railcar mechanics and industry standards.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Experience with railcar inspection and repair tools.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with railcar maintenance software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay

$80,000 - $90,000 annually.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
