Railcar Repairman

About the role

Responsible for maintaining and repairing railcars to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain railcars according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs on railcars.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least 2 years of related experience in railcar maintenance or similar field.
• Knowledge of railcar systems and repair techniques.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using hand tools and power equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Skills

• Proficiency in computer software used for maintenance tasks.
• Good physical fitness to perform manual labor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay
