About the role
The Railcar Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing railcars to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain railcars according to manufacturer specifications and company standards
- Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Follow safety protocols and procedures
- Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in railcar maintenance or related field
- Knowledge of railcar systems and components
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
Qualifications
- Proficient in using hand tools and power equipment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
