Temporary Technical Writer III

About the role

Develops documentation in accordance with standards, DIDs, DoD directives, military standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Compiles information from interviews, notes, drafts, meetings, existing docs, and observations.
• Independently researches and develops documentation.
• Arranges, outlines, and writes documents using good English principles, commercial standards, and military/DoD regulations.
• Determines document level of detail, standards, and formats needed.
• Ensures proper handling of classified documents and marking of completed documents.
• Organizes and oversees the work of lower-level technical writers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Five to seven years of experience in technical writing required.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education/experience may be substituted for job requirements at the recommendation of the hiring manager and approval of the COO or higher.
