Temp, PT Peer Tutor (TRIO)
Job Responsibilities
Provide academic assistance to a diverse population of students through individual and/or small group tutoring sessions.
Use effective instructional strategies to review key concepts, demonstrate problem-solving strategies, reinforce study skills, and prepare students for tests.
Maintain accurate attendance records.
Effectively communicate student progress with TRIO Student Support Services staff while maintaining student confidentiality.
Participate in appropriate professional development opportunities, including orientation and training workshops.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
- Recommended by at least two instructors and/or staff members.
- Transcripts reflecting knowledge in the subject (letter grades of an A or B) for the class being tutored.
- Must be in good academic and financial standing with the College.
- All Peer Tutors must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
