Temp, PT Math Tutor
Job Responsibilities
The tutor is primarily responsible for encouraging self-directed learning and development in each student. This includes assisting students to understand their coursework by helping clarify concepts or providing clear explanations of assignments. While the tutor does not need to have answers to every question, they are expected to work towards ensuring students develop a solid foundation for further learning.
Responsibilities
- Visit classes at the start of each semester to introduce themselves and inform students about tutoring resources.
- Attend math classes or other college events to promote tutoring services.
- Coordinate and present workshops to support just-in-time learning.
- Additional tasks may be assigned by the director.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Degree in mathematics.
- Prior Experience: Experience teaching/tutoring is preferred.
