Job Responsibilities

The tutor is primarily responsible for encouraging self-directed learning and development in each student. This includes assisting students with their coursework, helping clarify concepts, and providing clear explanations of assignments. The tutor is not expected to know every possible answer but instead works to ensure students develop a strong foundation for further learning.

Additional tasks may also be assigned by the director.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• Fluency in ASL is a must.
• Degreed tutors (Bachelor’s to master’s) need to present a list of references.
• The ability to relate well to people, to self-start, and to adjust easily to a variety of learning styles is beneficial.
