Temp, PT Peer Tutor (TRIO)

Job Responsibilities

• Provide academic assistance to a diverse population of students through individual and/or small group tutoring sessions.
• Use effective instructional strategies to review key concepts.
• Demonstrate problem-solving strategies.
• Reinforce study skills.
• Prepare students for tests.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• Must be recommended by at least two instructors and/or staff members.
• Have transcripts reflecting knowledge in the subject (letter grades of an A or B) for the class being tutored.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Maintain academic and financial standing with the College.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
