About the role
The Technology Solutions Analyst will support Undergraduate Academic Affairs by improving and developing systems, workflows, and processes that enhance high-quality academic advising, student support, and academic program and policy implementation.
Responsibilities
- Translate academic policies, advising operations, and project goals into clear requirements, testing plans, and continuous improvement recommendations.
- Lead programs and projects to evaluate business processes and gather requirements for complex transaction and reporting systems.
- Engage with functional users and technical partners to lead the development of complex transaction and reporting systems and adoption of test-driven development methodology.
- Develop, maintain, and organize test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios for university information systems.
- Facilitate integrated testing of business solutions, create test strategies, and coordinate testing, data validation sessions, and unit and functional testing.
- Manage and execute test preparation activities, manage defects, and report test results and metrics to management and team.
- Support user acceptance testing and implementation readiness by coordinating stakeholder feedback, validating delivered solutions, documenting issues, and helping ensure successful adoption.
- Work with vendors to resolve problems, as needed.
- Communicate and collaborate with data analysts, technical developers, and architects on business requirements for ongoing business intelligence initiatives and enhancements to existing systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Five years of related experience preferably within testing and business requirement gathering.
- Knowledge in the assigned application as well as the platform on which it runs (SQL Server).
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Zoom.
- Experience with native AI platforms (e.g., Codex, Claude Cowork).
- Experience with business analysis and technology project management.
- Experience with educational technology (e.g., Canvas LMS and 3rd party tools), and student information and adjacent systems.
- Experience with system implementation, user acceptance testing, workflow documentation, or process improvement in higher education, student services, academic affairs, registrar, advising, or similarly complex policy-driven environment.
