Technical Writing Specialist

EngineeringFull-time

Location: Onsite – Page Avenue Facility
Duration: 3 Months (Initial Phase) | High likelihood of extension
Industry: Infection Prevention & Pharmaceutical Consumables

About the role

This isn't your typical technical writing role. While you will maintain and update our standard operating procedures (SOPs), the heart of this position is empowering our workforce. You will spend 60%–70% of your time on the production floor, working side-by-side with Process Operators, Supervisors, and Logistics teams to ensure our Oracle ERP transactions are executed "Right First Time."

Responsibilities

  • Bridge the Gap: Take our robust Oracle User Guides and translate that knowledge directly to the production floor through one-on-one and small-group training.
  • On-the-Floor Mentorship: Guide operators through filling, packaging, and forklift jobs within the Oracle system, providing the "why" behind the "how."
  • Maintain Compliance: Update and amend Work Instructions (WIs) and Job Aids to ensure they reflect current protocols and meet strict FDA, cGMP, and ISO standards.
  • Collaborate with SMEs: Partner with engineers and quality teams to gather technical insights and refine documentation for clarity and ease of use.
  • Drive Quality: Ensure documentation and execution are seamless, helping to minimize errors and maintain the integrity of our infection prevention products.

Requirements

  • The "Human" Element: You must be patient, a great listener, and able to interact positively with everyone from the warehouse floor to senior management.
  • Technical Writing Foundation: Experience creating or editing SOPs, Work Instructions, and Validation Reports in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • The Oracle Advantage: Prior experience navigating Oracle ERP is a huge plus, though we are willing to train a self-starter who is eager to master the system.
  • Regulatory Savvy: Familiarity with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), PLM, or QMS.
  • Adaptability: A "can-do" attitude and the ability to pivot between writing technical steps and conducting hands-on training.

Benefits

  • Voluntary benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, telemedicine, term life, whole life, accident insurance, critical illness, and a legal plan.
  • Access to a retirement savings plan, service bonus and holiday pay plans (earn up to eight paid holidays per benefit year).
  • Transit spending account.
  • Paid sick leave under the applicable state or local plan.
