Technical Writer (Software & Test)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and maintain technical documentation including test procedures, user guides, software documentation, and engineering artifacts
• Collaborate with software engineers, systems integrators, and test engineers to gather technical information and translate it into clear, concise documentation
• Update documentation throughout the software development lifecycle to reflect new features, enhancements, and system changes
• Auxiliary with software testing activities to validate system functionality and ensure documentation accurately reflects system behavior
• Execute basic software test procedures, document test results, and support verification and validation efforts
• Sustain organized, version-controlled documentation and ensure technical artifacts remain current and audit-ready
• Communicate effectively with technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and accurately capture engineering information

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Active Secret security clearance
• Experience creating technical documentation through coursework, internships, or professional experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
• The ability to understand and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operation systems
• Basic understanding of software development or software testing concepts
• Comfortable learning new technologies and working directly with engineering teams
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple documentation efforts simultaneously

Pay

$70,000 - $95,000 per year
