About the Role
To compose technical communications from product engineers and process engineers for business partners and customers. To create new or edit existing technical documents such as reference manuals, training materials, technical reports, web pages, multimedia presentations, parts lists, instruction guides, and other related materials.
Responsibilities
- Design, layout, and format materials using illustrative, typographic, photographic, and graphic elements.
- Create visual solutions that ensure all design solutions reflect Andersen's branding strategy and meet objectives on time and on budget.
- Assist in providing expertise to develop and maintain Andersen corporate technical documentation.
- Assist in the identification and analysis of business area needs.
- Study data and conduct in-depth interviews with subject matter experts to understand products and procedures.
- Assist in providing organizational content and spearhead efforts to fill them.
- Index and cross-reference documents such as bulletins and manuals.
- Produce or arrange for illustrations, charts, and photographs to be included in publications.
- Edit, standardize, and revise material prepared by other writers, illustrators, or personnel.
- Prepare layout of material for publication.
- Prepare rough drafts of publications for review with project staff and customers.
- Edit and proofread all research reports.
- Create and assist in maintaining information on internal/external Andersen websites.
- Provide training as required.
- Integrate training documentation to support Andersen Corporate University training development.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining process standards related to technical publications.
- Understand enterprise change processes and requirements in support of technical publication needs.
- Interface with application specialists to assist in generating reports for audit and reporting of metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, engineering, technical, or related discipline with no experience, or an Associate of Science Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in related areas of work, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Andersen Product Knowledge expertise preferred.
Skills
- Proficient knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools.
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software knowledge preferred.
Pay
$62,960.00 - $94,440.00
