Technical Writer

About the role

The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating equipment training documentation and work instructions that safely and effectively educate operators on equipment. This role will collaborate with R&D, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Environmental Health & Safety to ensure training materials comply with existing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create equipment training documentation and work instructions for operators.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (R&D, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Operations, EHS) to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and content strategy.
• Edit and proofread technical content for clarity and accuracy.

Requirements

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Moderate experience with Snagit, Copilot, and Adobe content creation tools.
• Ability to operate an iPad for documentation purposes.
• Contract position based in Hershey, PA; fully onsite.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $40.00 per hour. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent factors.
