Technical Writer

About the Role

T12 TECHNOLOGIES LLC is seeking a passionate Technical Writer to join our dynamic team in Washington, DC. In this role, you will create clear and concise documentation that helps our clients understand complex technologies while contributing to innovative solutions that drive our mission forward.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user manuals, technical guides, and online help documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to gather information and clarify technical concepts.
• Review and edit content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Create and manage documentation templates and style guides.
• Conduct usability testing to ensure documentation meets user needs.
• Update existing documentation to reflect new features and changes.
• Aid in the development of training materials and presentations.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in technical writing or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of technical concepts and ability to translate them into user-friendly content.
• Proficiency in documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.

Compensation

$35.00 - $43.00 per hour
