About the role
On-site in Greenville, TX.
Responsibilities
- Author and edit technical publications including flight manuals, maintenance manuals, and technical documentation for defense projects.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, hardware specs, software requirements, and test procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with MIL standards.
- Collaborate with engineering personnel through interviews to gather precise technical information.
- Work independently or with moderate supervision on complex projects, setting objectives to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Guide entry-level staff and support team efforts in documentation processes.
- Maintain strong communication with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers.
- Utilize computer skills, including MS Office, with familiarity in S1000D standards, Webex authoring, and CSDB systems preferred.
- Obtain and sustain a Secret DoD clearance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of technical publication experience or graduate degree with up to 2 years of experience.
- Alternatively, 6+ years of relevant experience in structured authoring environments if no degree.
- Experience with unstructured/structured FrameMaker and structured authoring tools preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain security clearance.
