Technical Writer

Role and Responsibilities

  • Research vendor manuals, publications, illustrations, and drawings and develop original content that references and reuses relevant information
  • Develop and maintain original content (procedures) based on engineering and subject matter expert input
  • Re-write and re-format technical manuals, diagrams, charts, illustrations, and informal notes from engineers and subject matter experts
  • Adhere to established document quality standards
  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions per an established document development life cycle
  • Adept technical content created for one format to another
  • Cook with system engineers and subject matter experts, to ensure all developed content is consistent, validated, and verified

Requirements

  • Excellent oral, written communications, and editing skills
  • Detail oriented and analytical
  • Excellent written skills in English
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation
  • Experience in reading and interpreting drawings
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook)
  • Proficient in Arbortext and Contenta
