Technical Writer

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit, and coordinate technical proposals, RFQs, RFPs, SOQs, and interview presentations
• Develop compelling proposal content that highlights the firm's qualifications and project experience
• Cook with technical staff to gather project information, resumes, and supporting documentation
• Maintain and update proposal libraries, project descriptions, and marketing materials
• Afford assistance with branding, website content, brochures, award submissions, and social media
• Ensure all proposal documents are accurate, compliant, and submitted by deadline
• Collaborate with leadership on business development initiatives and strategic pursuits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Business, or a related field
• 5+ years of technical writing and proposal experience, preferably within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry
• Proven experience responding to public-sector RFPs, RFQs, and SOQs
• Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with Adobe Creative Suite and proposal management software is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Experience

• Experience with New York public agencies, municipalities, or higher education clients
• Familiarity with construction management, engineering, or professional consulting services
• Experience creating marketing collateral, presentations, and digital content
