This onsite Technical Writer role at the client’s plant directly impacts manufacturing and engineering operations by developing and enhancing critical technical documentation. The position is central to improving clarity, consistency, and usability of work instructions, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides, ensuring operational teams have accurate and accessible resources.

Skills

Success in this role requires exceptional written communication, technical process understanding, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Office. Experience with PTC Windchill and knowledge of optics are valued assets.

Responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and maintain work instructions, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and job aids for manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and operations to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Research and analyze technical information from multiple sources to produce comprehensive user‑focused documentation.
• Edit and proofread materials for clarity, consistency, and alignment with company style guidelines.
• Manage documentation projects, including planning, scheduling, and tracking to meet deadlines and quality standards.
