About the role

Anritsu is a provider of innovative communications test and measurement solutions. We engage customers as true partners to help develop wireless, optical, microwave/RF, and digital solutions for R&D, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance applications, as well as multidimensional service assurance solutions for network monitoring and optimization. We also provide precision microwave/RF components, optical devices, and high-speed electrical devices for communication products and systems. The company develops advanced solutions for emerging and legacy wireline and wireless technologies used in commercial, private, military/aerospace, government, and other markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain product technical manuals and media from initial plan to publication.
  • Create product descriptions, procedures, and maintenance tasks.
  • Create technical and marketing illustrations.
  • Conduct interviews with users and technical staff to gather data for documentation, and for guidance on final presentation.
  • Contribute to, and document, internal processes and supporting product marketing collateral development.
  • Recommend content and formats that are responsive to technical and customer requirements.
  • Produce information products that conform to company documentation and quality assurance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Communications, or related field, plus 1 year experience as a technical writer or content producer, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to create manuals and related collateral with illustrations using professional DTP programs is essential.
  • Advanced computer skills are required. The successful candidate will be computer literate in a corporate Windows environment using Microsoft Office, Adobe development tools, and related products.
  • Familiarity with general electronic test and measurement equipment is required. Experience with spectrum, modulation, and vector network analyzers is desired. Basic familiarity with computer programming concepts is a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe FrameMaker, Illustrator, and PhotoShop is required. Experience with Adobe InDesign and WebWorks ePublisher is desired.
  • Experience in structured content authoring and enterprise content management systems is a plus.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $130,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Anritsu Company considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Schedule

Full-time position based in Morgan Hill, CA.
