Technical Writer and Research Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation, review, and maintenance of certification and compliance documentation, including Security Targets, guidance materials, feasibility assessments, and other audit-ready deliverables.
• Research and analyze evolving government security requirements, Common Criteria (CC), EUCC, and related regulatory frameworks to ensure ongoing compliance and documentation accuracy.
• Review and edit complex technical content to ensure clarity, consistency, quality, and alignment with certification and regulatory standards.
• Partner with engineering, development, and product management teams to gather technical requirements and translate complex concepts into clear, professional compliance documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement of documentation processes by developing templates, standards, and style guides that increase efficiency and support successful certification outcomes.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in the U.S. with proven experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining complex technical and compliance documentation, including Security Targets, guidance documents, feasibility assessments, and other certification-related deliverables.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills, with the ability to edit and refine highly technical content for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and alignment with regulatory standards.
• Experience conducting research and analysis of regulatory and cybersecurity frameworks, including Common Criteria (CC), EUCC, government security requirements, and related compliance standards.
• Background in technical writing within networking, cybersecurity, technology, or compliance-focused environments, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, audit-ready documentation.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience partnering with engineers, developers, and product managers to gather requirements, improve documentation processes, and develop templates, standards, and style guides that support successful certification outcomes.

Pay

$90,000-$150,000
