Technical Training Instructor
About the Role
The Technical Training Instructor is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating technical training for Apprentices, CBS Field Service Technicians, and Customers. This position combines extensive field experience with instructional leadership to ensure employees develop the technical knowledge, practical skills, and safe work practices required to perform electrical testing, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting of low, medium, and high-voltage electrical systems. The Instructor serves as a subject matter expert and mentor while supporting the organization's workforce development initiatives, apprenticeship program, customers, and technical certification goals.
This role works closely with Operations, Field Supervisors, and Management to ensure training aligns with company standards, NETA practices, OSHA requirements, NFPA 70E, and customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate technical training programs for Apprentices, Field Service Technicians, and Customers.
- Ensure training covers electrical testing, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting of low, medium, and high-voltage electrical systems.
- Act as a subject matter expert and mentor to support workforce development and apprenticeship initiatives.
- Align training with company standards, NETA practices, OSHA requirements, NFPA 70E, and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with Operations, Field Supervisors, and Management to maintain training relevance and effectiveness.
