Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain wireline technical training content (lesson plans, presentations, practical exercises, and knowledge checks) covering Open Hole, Cased Hole, Pipe Recovery, Slickline, Tractor operations, and Pressure Control Equipment (PCE).
  • Deliver instructor-led training from the training centers, with flexibility to travel and deliver training at field locations as business needs require.
  • Lead classroom and hands-on practical sessions (as applicable), ensuring alignment to operational procedures, safety standards, and current equipment/tooling configurations.
  • Participate in the Competency Management System (CMS) and Competency Management Program (CMP) development, including competency definitions, learning paths, and assessment criteria for wireline services.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and competency assessor in at least one wireline service, supporting skill verification and standardized evaluation across the general field population.
  • Maintain accurate training documentation and version control of course materials, incorporating feedback from field operations, incidents/lessons learned, and process changes.
  • Cookordination training resources (as needed), including equipment/tooling availability, training aids, facilities readiness, and required support to enable effective course delivery.
  • Align training content and delivery with Wireline Operations and Baker Hughes compliance requirements, engaging relevant stakeholders to ensure training reflects current standards, procedures, and controls.
  • Support training execution as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Baker Hughes wireline experience.
  • Recognized as an experienced coach/mentor for field personnel, with the ability to transfer operational know-how through structured training and on-the-job coaching.
  • Ability to serve as an SME and competency assessor in at least one wireline service, contributing to CMS/CMP development and competency sign-off processes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Able to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Able to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Able to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills.
