About the role
This is an on-site role in Salt Lake City, UT, operating on the swing shift (core hours 4:00 PM–12:00 AM Mountain Time).
Key Responsibilities
- Work swing shift; core business hours 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM Mountain Time.
- Become an expert in the Everfox product suite and explain complex concepts simply and confidently.
- Provide responsive, thoughtful support that keeps customers moving forward.
- Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering to deliver resolutions.
- Give product teams real-world feedback to help shape future features and improvements.
- Create helpful customer resources — documentation, guides, tutorials, walkthroughs.
- Participate in our 24×7 remote support rota when required.
Key Knowledge and Skills

- Strong Linux skills (especially RHEL).
- Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with Elasticsearch and log/data analysis workflows.
- Understanding of Kubernetes and container platforms.
- Scripting experience for automation and troubleshooting.
- Solid networking fundamentals (DNS, NTP, HTTPS, SSL, TCP/IP, routing, switching).
- Experience working across Windows and macOS.
- Bonus: AI experience or interest in using AI-assisted tools in your workflow.
Key Education Requirements
- Holds—or is willing to obtain—an active TS clearance.
- Graduate-level qualification, ideally in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar engineering/technology discipline.
- Working understanding of the current cyber threat landscape and common defensive technologies.
- Customer-facing experience (support, consulting, engineering, etc.).
- Strong communication skills — listening, simplifying complexity, and engaging confidently with stakeholders from frontline teams to executives.
- Able to analyze, troubleshoot, and reproduce issues effectively using log files and sample data.
- Demonstrable understanding of computer networking, including: DNS, NTP, HTTPS, SSL certificates; the supporting OSI stack (TCP/IP, Ethernet); routing and switching; implementing, integrating, and debugging networks; proxy and firewall technology; Syslog platforms; and security best practice.
