Technical Instructor (AWS DevOps)

About the role

Per Scholas is seeking a part-time AWS DevOps instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, problem-solving, adaptable, and accountable. This role supports instructor-led training preparing students for AWS DevOps careers.

Responsibilities

• Daily instruction
• Assessment administration
• Attendance management
• One-on-one tutoring
• Daily evaluation and monitoring of student progress
• Addressing student violations consistently
• Providing access to relevant resources for outside learning
• Working closely with the team to identify student needs
• Maintaining and updating Salesforce and/or LMS with student grades, certification scores, and progress notes
• Supporting and maintaining training curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, and classroom materials

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of teaching or training experience
• Strong technical background, able to convey highly technical subjects
• Technical skills: AWS Professional Mastery, SDLC Automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Observability & Logging, High Availability & Resilience, Security & Governance, Serverless & Event Automation
• Certification: Active AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
• Preferred skills: Generative AI Integration, Advanced Scripting, Cloud Architecture
