About the role
Per Scholas is seeking an AWS Machine Learning instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, problem-solving, adaptable, and accountable. The position supports instructor-led training preparing students for AI and Machine Learning careers on AWS.
Responsibilities
- Daily instruction
- Assessment administration
- Attendance management
- One-on-one tutoring
- Daily evaluation and monitoring of student progress
- Addressing student violations consistently
- Providing access to relevant resources for outside learning
- Working closely with the team to identify student needs
- Maintaining and updating Salesforce and/or LMS with student grades, certification scores, and progress notes
- Supporting and maintaining the training curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, and classroom materials
Requirements
- 1-3 years of teaching or training experience
- Strong technical background, able to convey highly technical subjects
- Technical aptitude in Google Sheets/Excel, Slides/PowerPoint, Salesforce, Slack, Zoom, etc.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong evaluation and data management skills
- Prior knowledge or background in IT (if minimal, willingness to learn)
- Absorb and apply hands-on expertise with Amazon SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker Studio, AWS Glue, S3, SageMaker Data Wrangler, AWS Step Functions, SageMaker Pipelines, CI/CD workflows, IAM policies, VPC security, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SageMaker Clarify, Model Monitor, LLMs, and Copilots
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical/industry experience)
- Active AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate or AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate credential
