About the role
Per Scholas is seeking an AWS Machine Learning instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, problem-solving, adaptable, and accountable. The position supports instructor-led training preparing students for AI and Machine Learning careers on AWS.
Responsibilities
- Daily instruction
- Assessment administration
- Attendance management
- One-on-one tutoring
- Daily evaluation and monitoring of student progress
- Addressing student violations consistently
- Providing access to relevant resources
- Collaborating with the team to identify student needs
- Maintaining and updating Salesforce/LMS with grades, certifications, and progress notes
- Maintaining and updating training curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, and classroom materials
Requirements
- Instructional Skill Sets: 1-3 years of teaching/training experience, strong technical background, ability to convey complex topics, clear communication skills
- Technical Skills: Hands-on expertise with Amazon SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker Studio, AWS Glue, S3, SageMaker Data Wrangler, AWS Step Functions, SageMaker Pipelines, CI/CD workflows, IAM policies, VPC security, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SageMaker Clarify, Model Monitor, LLMs, Copilots
- Professional Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), proficiency in Python/Pandas/NumPy, SQL, Google Sheets/Excel, Slides/PowerPoint, Salesforce, Slack, Zoom, strong technical aptitude, project management, organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication, data management, evaluation, public speaking, interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, time management, mission alignment, passion for technology, collaborative and flexible work style, life-long learner, motivated, approachable, socially engaging, quick tool adoption, and strong public speaking and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Active AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate or AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate credential
- Programming Mastery: Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy) and SQL
- Preferred Skill Sets: Programming Mastery, Professional Qualifications, Technical Skills
