Technical Instructor (AWS Machine Learning)

About the role

Per Scholas is seeking an AWS Machine Learning instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, problem-solving, adaptable, and accountable. This role supports instructor-led training preparing students for AI and Machine Learning careers on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Daily instruction
• Assessment administration
• Attendance management
• One-on-one tutoring
• Daily evaluation and monitoring of student progress
• Addressing student violations consistently
• Providing access to relevant resources
• Working closely with the team to identify student needs
• Maintaining and updating Salesforce and/or LMS with student grades, certification scores, and progress notes
• Supporting and maintaining training curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, and classroom materials

Requirements

• 1-3 years of teaching or training experience
• Strong technical background, able to convey complex topics
• Technical skills: Amazon SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker Studio, AWS Glue, S3, SageMaker Data Wrangler, AWS Step Functions, SageMaker Pipelines, CI/CD workflows, IAM policies, VPC security, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SageMaker Clarify, Model Monitor, LLMs, Copilots
• Certification: AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate or AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate

Preferred Skills

• Programming: Python (Pandas, NumPy), SQL
• Professional qualifications: Bachelor's degree, technical aptitude, project management, organizational skills, detailed follow-through, excellent written and oral communication, data management, evaluation, business understanding, public speaking, interpersonal skills, life-long learning, tech-savviness, time management, mission alignment
