About the role

Per Scholas is seeking a part-time AWS DevOps instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, problem-solving, adaptable, and accountable.

Responsibilities

  • Support instructor-led training preparing students for AWS DevOps careers.
  • Provide students with relevant resources for outside learning.
  • Work with the team to identify and support student needs, establish individualized plans, and meet regularly.
  • Maintain and update Salesforce and/or LMS with student grades, certification scores, and progress notes.
  • Support and maintain training curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, and classroom materials.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of teaching/training experience.
  • Strong technical background; able to convey highly technical subjects.
  • Experience with AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional (DOP-C02) exam domains.
  • Hands-on expertise in CI/CD pipelines, IaC, observability, security, and cloud architecture.
  • Ability to manage and automate AWS resources using SDKs (Boto3).
  • Proficiency in Python for automated remediation scripts.
  • Experience as a Cloud DevOps Engineer or SRE in a multi-region enterprise environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical/industry experience.
  • Strong technical aptitude, project management, organizational skills, and detailed follow-through.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Understanding of business needs and solid evaluation/data management skills.
  • Prior IT knowledge or a willingness to learn.
  • Data-driven, result-oriented, forward-looking, and a catalyst for social change.

$65/hour
