The Technical Analyst II is responsible for delivering superior services acting as a liaison between the line of business and IT with a focus on end user experience such as user interfacing, user flow, data flow, and/or other UI/UX strategies. Defining and performing analysis, design, programming, planning, implementation, and supporting moderate to complex systems software and procedures with a focus on our long-term technology road map which require technical and systems knowledge. Manages plans, organizes, and controls projects which have an organizational impact as well as provides day-to-day support for complex applications systems.

Responsibilities

  • Write business requirements and document customer needs and expectations for simple projects.
  • Analyze, design, plan, test, and deploy simple to complex systems software and programs. This includes researching and defining problem functions involving existing systems and programs, developing input and output requirements, and recommending appropriate design to meet those requirements.
  • Provide business process modeling and project estimates for simple projects and system enhancements.
  • Provide day-to-day support for the operation of complex application systems, developing complex test plans and scenarios, and designing and conducting program and integrated system tests.
  • Train user personnel on new or modified systems by preparing training materials and conducting training one-on-one or in a classroom setting.
  • Design, document, and provide reports through the use of report writers or through coordination with service providers.
  • Demonstrate general technical understanding of single application data flows across multiple applications, software and system integrations, RDBMS principles, tiered environments, Cloud environments, and project management skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field of study and/or 3-5 years of directly related experience in Technical Analysis, Data Analytics, or Bank Operations or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of single application data flows across multiple applications.
  • Knowledge of software integration, system integration, and technology used.
  • Familiarity with RDBMS principles and tools.
  • Experience with tiered environments (e.g., development, testing, UAT, production, DR).
  • Proficiency in application disaster recovery and SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of IT and IS standards and concepts.
  • Understanding of banking and payments industry and processes.
  • Solid conceptual thinking and analytical skills with the ability to provide resolution to problems of moderate complexity.
  • Enjoy working in teams and across departments to achieve business objectives while building strong relationships to become a trusted advisor and create raving fans.
  • Ability to influence change by being flexible and adaptable.
  • Basic understanding of Project Management Methodology (framework, phases, artifacts, process, and project funding).
  • Knowledge of quality/testing methodologies and tools.
  • Understanding of IT lifecycle governance.
  • Ability to effectively plan time, method, manner, and sequence of own work assignments.
  • Experience with Agile, waterfall, or other project management strategies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively represent self and BOKF.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and build healthy working partnerships with clients, vendors, and peers.
