About the role
The Field Technician serves as the primary on-site IT support for practice locations, ensuring seamless hardware, software, networking, and clinical technology operations. They travel between sites to provide hands-on assistance, respond to technical issues, and support system updates. When not traveling, they assist remotely via the service desk, resolving tickets and escalating complex problems.
Responsibilities
- Travel to practice sites to deliver immediate IT support.
- Respond swiftly to technical emergencies, minimizing disruptions.
- Support end-users by resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Collaborate with technical teams and vendors on complex problems.
- Maintain documentation and track issues using ServiceNow & ITGlue.
- Follow established protocols and contribute to process improvements.
- Assist with troubleshooting and escalation procedures.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in information systems or healthcare-related field is preferred.
Skills
- 3–5 years of recent IT experience, including service desk roles.
- Healthcare experience is a plus.
- Certifications like A+ and Microsoft are preferred; ITIL certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with MS Servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure cloud.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively.
- Attendance is essential to perform on-site duties effectively.
